Hello, I'm Kelly.
UX Designer. Creative Professional Development Specialist. Curator of joy. Pupper lover. Ballerina.
Hello, my name is Kelly! Most people call me Miss Mackie. I am a UX Designer at Thomson Reuters, the global multimedia and information firm. My team is focused on developing desktop and cloud based tax, accounting, and payroll enterprise software for small businesses to global firms.
I graduated from the Honors College at Michigan State University with a BFA in Graphic Design and a BA in Hospitality Business with a Design Specialization. Learn more about my crazy college career here. During my time at MSU I was floored by willingness of fellow Spartans to share their time and talents, and now I am looking to do the same. I am passionate about professional development, especially of young artists. I am actively working to produce content (essays, lectures, video tutorials, templates and my first book!) focused in this area. Check out my first essay here.
I also balance a variety of freelance projects and collaborations in many mediums including: UX design and research, graphic design, illustration, letterpress printing, screen printing, ceramics, paper crafting, photography, motion graphics, hand lettering, electronic art and mixed media.
I am looking forward to a bright future in the world of UX, Design and Creative Professional Development. Feel free to shoot me an email if you are interested in collaboration, looking for career advice...or if you want to revel in the awesomeness of puppers.
Cold hard facts.
